Know what motivates you. If you don’t know what motivates you, as well as what stops you, you won’t be consistent in moving forward toward your goals. Most people talk about wanting to do something great but few ever achieve it. What makes the difference? Motivation, Information, Knowledge, Action.
Motivation and Desire are not the same.
Take a moment today to write about what you desire to do with your writing and what motivates you to achieve it.
a. Why do you want to do it? What motivates you?
b. What are your obstacles? What are you afraid of? Pain, discomfort, failure, not knowing how?
c. How are you going to do it? Read books, take a class, join a writing group. If you’ve already done those things and still aren’t achieving your writing goals, you may need a coach and mentor to help you reach the finish line.
