What have been some of your big light bulb moments? Or as I like to call them, 'Ah-ha' moments.
Do you recall a decision in your life which caused you repeated worry or confusion?
Perhaps you worked at a job you hated but were afraid to make a much-needed change.
Maybe you were in a relationship that was no longer working and you put off talking about your feelings because you felt afraid or alone.
You found yourself at a crossroads and needed a sign pointing you in the right direction.
No matter how young or old, we all find ourselves seeking answers, clarity, the way out, over or through some difficult or vexing experience.
You may seek for guidance through prayer, a friend or mentor, or from reading a book or taking a class.
I find that my answers usually come in 3's. Three different people, articles or coincidences pointing me to the same answer. I use my personal discernment and intuition to identify guidance that is appropriate and timely while remaining open to receiving my answers without resistance (not all answers are what I expect).
I've written about my most significant ah-ha moments while journaling. Searching for answers can sometime feel like moving slowly through a dry, hot desert. However, once the answers begin to surface- oh what a relief - like fresh spring water bubbling up from the parched ground bringing renewal and clarity.
This time of year, as we approach graduation, what advice would you give your posterity about the above process. We all experience it. Youth is more impatient when answers are not immediate. Write examples of the process you've used to make big decisions. Have you questioned yourself or your decisions? What have you learned?
